Fire safety law for commercial premises
Premises used for non-domestic purposes fall under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Businesses must have a dedicated ‘responsible person’, which can be someone in your company or a professional fire safety company like Allsaved, who must carry out duties including conducting a fire risk assessment.

Fire safety law for domestic property
This area of law is covered by both the Housing Act 2004 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
